LBD WITH A TWIST

Hello my lovely reader! I hope you are well.

This satin little black dress (LBD) is the first piece I have received from Glassons as part of our Instagram collaboration. I recently received a collaboration offer from Glassons to showcase a few pieces from their latest arrivals each month over on my Instagram page, and on here. At first I was absolutely blown away and thought it was someone pulling a prank on me! I have loved Glassons since I was 12 or 13 years old and could not believe that they noticed my little Instagram page and wanted to offer me this incredible collaboration opportunity. First I cried happy tears, sat in shock, then rang Russell (while he was at the gym, woops) and my Mum straight away. I am still waiting for someone to pinch me because this all still feels like a dream.

If you’re anything like me then a little black dress is an essential piece in your wardrobe. Personally, I have a few of them as one dress style won’t cut it for every single occasion. I mean, if you’re a styling wizard then you absolutely could get away with just one. Though I do love the option of a few (sorry bank account).

If you’re wanting to build your wardrobe with staple pieces, at least one little black dress is, in my opinion, a requirement! Just like a good quality pair of denim jeans, a well fitted white tee or reliable winter coat.

I used a dark oversized mens dress shirt which I buttoned up half way, slid it off my shoulders and held it in place tucked into my belt under the dress.

I left the sleeves unbuttoned as I loved the flared look mixed with the tight waist and length of the dress. This look would be equally cute with any coloured shirt, especially neutrals!
